Camping...
Fraser Island has a number of camping positions available around the island. Most of the marked camping zones are around the inland features such as the lakes and Central Station amongst the rainforest.
Inland Camping
There are a large number of well established camping zones which offer facilities such as showers, toilets and barbeques. These more established camping zones are mostly on the interior of the island at key features such as Lake Boomajin and Central Station.
If you plan to use these camping zones it is advisable to have a supply of 50 cent coins on hand if you intend taking advantage of the hot water supply for the showers in some locations.
It is also recommended that you keep in mind that during busy periods such as Christmas, Easter and school holidays that these camping zones can become full very quickly. It's always best not to leave finding such a zone till the last minute.

Beach Camping
The extensive area of 75 Mile Beach also offers plenty of space for beach camping. No facilities are available however this position provides a perfect view of sunrise a good base point for fishing or exploring the beach attractions. Please note however, there are some no camping sections of the beach which are clearly marked.
