The Maheno
Fraser has a long history of shipwrecks on the island and one such example is the Maheno. Its old warn skeleton of iron can be viewed on the eastern beach and makes a beautiful backdrop for photos of sunrise if you are an early bird. More.

Eastern Beach Eastern Beach
The 132km length of Fraser Island provides endless beach frontage for campers. Popular for fishing, sun baking and if your lucky you may spot a turtle during coming to shore to lay her eggs in the evening. More.

 

Indian Head
Indian head is the largest rocky outcrop on the eastern shore. Popular for photographers to capture that perfect photo of the eastern beach. Indian Head is also a great to spot sharks, rays and turtles swimming in the shallow waters below. More.

Coloured Sands Coloured Sands
The Coloured Sands is a formation created by the gradual erosion of the sand bed. Its beautiful pinnacle like structures of reds, oranges and gold sand can be found on the eastern beach. More.

Eli Creek on the east coast of the island is the perfect way to relax at the end of a long day sight seeing. Its cool fresh water flows gently out to see and is perfect for swimming. This is a popular place for the kids! More.
