4WD Essentials Package

Our 4WD Essentials Package is perfect for when you just need the 4WD and barge transfers to get your adventure started. 

All you need to do is book your dates, tell us how many people are going with you to Fraser Island, pick when you want to catch the barge to the Island to suit your needs, book your vehicle permit and you’re pretty much ready! We’ll give you a detailed 4WD Safety Briefing before you go complete with suggested itineraries, a map, and all the need-to-knows about driving a 4WD on sand. You don’t need any prior 4WD experience. 

Package inclusions:

• 4WD hire in one of our automatic 4x4s complete with off road liability insurance cover 
• Return Pre-booked barge transfers 

Just add your own vehicle permit. If you’ve got your own camping gear you’ll need to add camping permits https://parks.des.qld.gov.au. 

There’s plenty of amazing places to stay on Fraser Island including 4 star eco resorts, relaxed beachside hotels, self contained apartments, and private houses. We don’t offer any accommodation packages to allow you the freedom of booking the place you want to stay. Here’s some of our favorite places to stay: 

Eurong Beach Resort 

The only resort located on the famous 75 Mile Eastern Beach was built in the 1970s and has been refurbished with a relaxed feel. There are hotel rooms and apartments available with fans to keep you cool. Apartments have kitchen facilities. There is a restaurant and bar onsite overlooking the lagoon style swimming pool. The resort is fully dingo fenced with beach and inland 4WD access available. You’ll also find the famous Eurong Bakery, serving fresh bread, hot food and espresso coffee, plus a General Store (in case you need to top up on the essentials) here too. 

Fraser Island Beach Houses

These self contained beach houses are located just south of Eurong Beach Resort on the Eastern Beach of Fraser Island.These houses have a relaxed coastal style with single and two storey available. The beach houses are perfect for families and groups wanting a home away from home - not to mention the sundowners on the balconies and verandahs at the end of the day. The beach houses property is fully dingo fenced with beach and inland 4WD access available. 

Kingfisher Bay Resort 

Kingfisher Bay Resort is the award winning eco resort located on the Western Side of the Island. The resort has hotel rooms as well as 2 and 3 bedroom villas available for your stay. There’s plenty of facilities including four swimming pools, day spa, three restaurants, four bars, general store, and the famous jetty (a lovely spot for an afternoon cocktail). The resort is fully dingo fenced with inland access only. Western Beach access is not available.

Please remember during busy periods such as Christmas, Easter and school holidays that accommodation properties can become full very quickly. It’s always best not to leave finding your place till the last minute.
